His heart was broken π
Meet Angel, a sweet husky whose strength has carried him through an incredibly painful ordeal.
Earlier this year, federal immigration agents came to Angelβs home in California and took his family away. After that, according to Nima Nasseri, a dog advocate behind the TikTok account @savethedogs, Angel was left wandering alone through Gardena, sleeping on sidewalks and crying through the night.
When Nasseri came across Angel lying by himself on the street, he knew he could not ignore him. He and other rescuers tried to earn the huskyβs trust, but Angel had been through so much so recently that he was too frightened to come near them.

Still, the team refused to give up. Night after night, they searched for him. During one of those searches, they spotted Angel crossing a street beside a brown pit bull who also appeared to be homeless and who seemed to have become his companion.
Unlike Angel, the pittie was friendly and came right up to the rescuers. They hoped her calm behavior might help Angel feel safe too, but he remained too scared to approach. In the end, the rescuers made the difficult decision to bring the pittie to safety first, while Angel was left out there alone once again.
Later, with the help of professional rescuer Cathi Perez, the team set humane traps and waited, hoping Angel would finally step inside. Their plan worked, and after spending months surviving on his own, Angel was at last rescued.
At the vet, Angel was reunited with the pit bull, who was given the name Hope. Both dogs were then taken in by Stacy Hope Rescue, while Redemption Tails stepped in to help Angel begin the long process of trusting people again.

At first, Angel was so overwhelmed with fear that he trembled constantly. His trainers understood that he needed patience more than anything, so they gave him time, space, and gentle reassurance instead of pressure.
Slowly, he began to let his guard down. After a few days, Angel started moving around more confidently on his own and even began playing with other dogs at the facility.
He is still healing now and waiting for a foster home where he can keep moving forward.
Those caring for him say Angel is still recovering emotionally from losing his family so suddenly. Both he and Hope are still in need of fosters or adopters, and rescuers would love for them to have the chance to stay together. They see both dogs as deeply deserving of a fresh start and a loving future.
