My heart just breaks for her” 💔
Last week in California, a local resident was heading toward their car when something unexpected caught their eye — a handwritten note taped to the door. As they leaned closer to read it, their stomach dropped.

“You have a dog under your car,” the note warned. “10/23, 7 p.m. Check before you leave.”
When the person knelt to look, they found the message was heartbreakingly true. Beneath the car lay a trembling brown-and-white pit bull mix curled up on a small bed, too frightened to move.

No amount of coaxing worked. The pup refused to come out.
“She just stayed there, hiding under that car, waiting,” wrote Suzette Hall, founder of Logan’s Legacy 29, in a Facebook post. “Waiting for someone who would never return.”

Determined to help, the Good Samaritan left food and water beside her and promised to return the next morning. But when they came back, the scene had changed in the worst way.
“Her bed — the only comfort she had — was gone,” Hall shared. “She was frantic, running door to door, searching for it, for safety, for something that felt familiar.”

Unfortunately, not everyone nearby showed kindness. Soon after losing her bed, the frightened dog disappeared.
Thankfully, she wasn’t alone for long. A woman named Fatima took it upon herself to search after work, refusing to give up until she found the missing pup.
“Thank God for Fatima,” Hall wrote. “She found her hiding under a house, too scared and lost to move after losing the only thing she had.”
Fatima called Hall for help, and the rescuer arrived quickly, setting up a humane trap with food. To her surprise, the hungry dog crawled out and walked straight in.
“She was starving,” Hall said.
Hall scooped her up gently and brought her to a vet clinic for a full exam. The team confirmed she was healthy — and noticed something special: a heart-shaped marking near her tail.

“She even has a perfect little heart on her bottom,” Hall wrote. “That’s how she got her name: Amour — because she’s all love.”
The marking suited her perfectly. That night, Amour finally rested in a warm, safe kennel with a promise from her rescuers: she’d soon have a new, soft bed that was hers forever.
“My heart just breaks for her,” Hall added. “But we’ll make sure she never loses her bed again.”
A few days later, Amour began to relax and trust her new caretakers. She’s still waiting for a forever home, but Hall has no doubt the right family will come along soon.
Until then, Amour will be surrounded by the one thing she’s always deserved — unconditional love.
“Love is exactly what she’ll have from now on,” Hall wrote.
