โItโs not his fault!โ
When Jodi, a tiny Chihuahua mix puppy, first arrived at the Valley Animal Center (VAC), the staff was optimistic he would soon find his forever home. With his energetic puppy nature, charming face, and sweet personality, he seemed like the perfect candidate for adoption.
Sure enough, a family applied to adopt Jodi, and the staff happily sent him off to his new home. However, just a few weeks later, the family returned him, claiming that he was too hyperactive. The VAC team was heartbroken, but they didnโt give up. They welcomed Jodi back with open arms and quickly posted another adoption ad. Before long, another family expressed interest in him.
Sadly, Jodi’s new home didnโt work out either. This time, the family said he didnโt do well with kids and returned him to the shelter. Jodi, confused and saddened by the rejection, still hoped for a family to love him. The staff assured him that the right family was out there somewhere.
โItโs not his fault!โ VAC shared on Facebook. โJodi is a sweet boy who loves to run and play in a nice-sized yard. Heโs still young enough to learn and thrive with a little training.โ
Despite these setbacks, more families began showing interest in adopting Jodi. After a third adoption attempt ended with his return to the shelter because his new family had to move, the staff at VAC remained determined. They hoped that the fourth time would be the charm when a new couple took Jodi home. But heartbreakingly, he came back to the shelter again after a few weeks.
By the end of last year, Jodi was adopted for the fifth time. The staff believed they had finally found his perfect family. Yet, once again, he was returned to the shelter, marking his fifth failed adoption.
โJodiโs journey has been tough,โ VAC wrote. โ[Heโs] โtoo active,โ he โdidnโt do well with kids,โ his owners moved, his owners had no time, and his new owners moved again. Through it all, heโs still searching for his forever home.โ
Now, Jodi remains at VAC, waiting for a family that will embrace him for who he is, patiently understanding his needs. The staff is confident that the right family will come along soon, one that will give Jodi the love and stability he deserves.
โCould you be the one to give him the love he deserves?โ VAC asked.
Jodiโs story continues, and the staff at VAC is determined to find him the home heโs been longing for.
