Meet Chowder, the Skateboarding Bulldog Who Won’t Stop Shredding
Chowder the bulldog has always been an adventurous pup, but when he stumbled upon an old skateboard, his curiosity turned into an obsession. From the moment his paws touched the board, there was no turning back.
“The first time I laid it down, he was on his stomach, and he just started rolling across the driveway,” said his mom, Jami, in a video for The Dodo. “He really didn’t want help. He was trying to learn. He was super focused!”
Despite his enthusiasm, Chowder quickly outgrew the small, hand-me-down skateboard. Wanting to support their pup’s new passion, his parents got him a custom board designed just for him. As soon as it hit the pavement, Chowder took off, and the rest is history.
Now, there’s nothing he loves more than skateboarding. Whether it’s rolling down the driveway or mastering new tricks, Chowder is always ready to ride. Even when it’s time to go inside, he tries to squeeze in just one more run.
“He just wants to skate,” Jami said.
At bedtime, Chowder’s love for skating doesn’t stop. He even tries to bring his beloved skateboard to bed with him.
“You can’t take the skateboard to bed,” Jami tells him in the video. “No! Bedtime!”
Over the years, Chowder has honed his skills and become a true skater dog. His family has since welcomed another bulldog, Maddie, who loves watching her big brother shred.
Chowder was born to be a skater, and nothing—not even bedtime—can keep him away from his board.
