One Australian homeowner got quite a surprise when she stepped into her bathroom the other day. Just as she was about to hop in the shower, she felt an eerie sensation — like someone was staring at her.
She looked up.
And there it was.

Perched on the upper frame of her shower door was a tiny snake face peeking down. At first glance, it was easy to miss — the slender reptile blended almost perfectly with its surroundings.
But once spotted, there was no ignoring him.

An Unexpected Bathroom Guest
The snake had somehow slithered indoors and chosen the bathroom as his resting spot. According to Heather from Sunshine Coast Snake Catchers 24/7, the homeowner froze mid-routine.
“She was just about to jump in the shower when she found him sitting on the shower door,” Heather said.
The homeowner waited, hoping the little visitor might move along on his own. But after a while, it became clear he was perfectly content where he was.
That’s when she called in the professionals.
A Harmless Peeping Tom

The intruder turned out to be a common tree snake, measuring about 2½ feet long. While harmless to humans, a steamy bathroom isn’t exactly suitable habitat for a tree-dwelling reptile.
The homeowners, who appreciate local wildlife, just needed help guiding him back outside safely.
Fortunately, the snake catchers were prepared. Within about five minutes, the slippery shower companion was gently secured in a bag.
Soon after, he was released back onto the property — none the worse for his indoor adventure.
And the homeowner? She could finally enjoy her shower in peace — without feeling like she had an audience.
