Allison and Nick, a couple who transformed an old school bus into their dream home, live there with their two dogs. However, several months ago, they found themselves with a new, unexpected pet.

“A tiny creature wandered into our home a few months ago, and it seems like she’s here to stay,” they shared on TikTok. That creature was Sprout, a fuzzy jumping spider who appeared in their indoor garden one day. She began exploring the bus and eventually decided to make it her permanent home.

Over time, Allison and Nick grew very fond of their little spider companion. But when Sprout disappeared one day, the couple feared the worst. After seven days, she returned, and their joy was overwhelming.

“It might sound silly to some, but I actually cried when I saw her,” Allison confessed. “She’s brought us so much happiness and has changed the way we see and appreciate spiders.”
Sprout has gone missing a few times since, but she always finds her way back. She’s become very comfortable with her human family, often crawling around the bus and even above their heads to say hello.

“Sprout’s been doing great lately,” Allison said. “She’s super active, and just the other day, she made two laps around the bus while I was doing dishes. She knows Nick and I won’t hurt her.”

As winter approaches, the couple is concerned about Sprout’s safety and food supply. To ensure she stays well-fed and warm, they built her a tiny habitat, replicating the features she loves about the bus. They plan to give her time to roam the bus under supervision.
So far, Sprout seems to enjoy her new small home just as much as the large bus. Though they understand their time with her is finite, Allison and Nick are committed to giving Sprout the best life they can for as long as she’s with them.
