Bruce: The Polydactyl Prankster
There’s never a dull moment at Scott Swenson’s house, thanks to his polydactyl tuxedo cat, Bruce. With 26 toes and endless curiosity, Bruce often causes more mischief than his furry siblings.
One recent adventure, however, solidified his reputation as a master prankster.
An Unexpected Hitchhiker
It all began when the Swensons’ realtor and friend, McCall Hicken, visited the home. After a long meeting, Hicken drove away. Minutes later, she received a surprising call.
“Neighbors three blocks down got her attention,” Swenson said. “[She] didn’t know Bruce was on top of her car.”
A Rooftop Nap
The neighbors had spotted Bruce curled up on the roof of Hicken’s car. She didn’t even need to see him to know who her unexpected passenger was.
“We’ve known McCall since she helped us sell our last home, and Bruce was there, too,” Swenson said. “They know each other, so this wasn’t surprising at all.”
A Joyride Back Home
Hicken carefully turned her car around and drove back. Bruce sat stoically atop the roof, seemingly enjoying the ride. The Swensons couldn’t help but laugh at the sight.
“So, Bruce decided to fall asleep on top of our realtor’s car,” Swenson wrote on Instagram. “Thank you for Ubering Bruce back.”
Thanks to the alert neighbors shouting, “You have a cat on your car!” Bruce made it home safely.
Unfazed and Mischievous
Some cats might be shaken by a rooftop ride. Not Bruce. He returned inside, ready for his next escapade.
“Bruce just has no boundaries,” Swenson said.
