“He just busts in the house like he has a warrant” 😂
A Surprise Visitor
It’s mid-afternoon at Latoya Greene’s house when a sudden rustle at the front door sends her pups, Purpose and Jaysean, sprinting to the window.
With noses pressed to the glass, they silently alert their mom. She already knows who it is.
“Here comes Clyde …” Greene wrote on Instagram.
Clyde Makes Himself at Home
When Greene opens the door, a stocky gray pit bull mix named Clyde is staring right up at her. He’s polite today, but usually, he’s less subtle.

“He just busts in the house like he has a warrant,” Greene said.
Greene has known Clyde for years, but he only started visiting daily a few months ago—after one delicious encounter.
“A couple of months ago, I gave him a treat because I was giving my dogs one, and he’s been coming to my door since,” she explained.
All About the Treats
Purpose and Jaysean step aside as Clyde barrels into the foyer and heads straight for the kitchen. Greene quickly realized the truth.
“I thought Clyde came over because he loves me. But Clyde really only comes over for the treats,” she said.

Greene, her dogs, and her cats—Dontavious and Monte—follow him into the kitchen. On cue, Purpose, Jaysean, and Clyde sit, tails wagging, as Greene presents crunchy treats to each.
Getting Clyde Back Home
After his snack, Clyde doesn’t always leave willingly. Greene uses treats to persuade him to return to his own home.
“To get him home, I bribe him with treats,” Greene said. “His parents know he’s coming straight to my house, so they leave the door open because they know I’ll bring him back.”
Eventually, Clyde goes home, dreaming of his next visit.
A Visitor No Matter the Reason
Greene admits she would love if Clyde visited for other reasons—but she’s just happy he has a safe space.
“If I’m not actively feeding this baby treats, he’s not trying to hang out, he’s not trying to play … He literally just comes over for the treats. And that’s OK,” Greene said.
