“If this is not true love, then what is?”
Since late 2021, the daily routine at Lisa Laskey’s home has revolved around one very special event: the arrival of their local U.S. Postal Service driver, lovingly known as Postman Dan.
And for Lisa’s Chihuahua, Frannie, it’s the best part of the entire day.
Love at First Delivery
Frannie first met Postman Dan five years ago when she was just 10 months old. Cradled in her mom’s arms, she came face-to-face with him for the first time — and instantly fell in love.
From that moment on, Frannie made it her mission to wait by the door every single day for his arrival.
“When the truck starts coming, her little body starts to shake, and she’ll let out a little yap to let me know that he’s here,” Lisa said.
The sound of Dan’s white mail truck pulling into the driveway is all it takes for Frannie to go into full excitement mode.
A Reunion She Couldn’t Wait For
Even after just one day apart, Frannie acts like it’s been forever since she last saw Dan. So when the family took their first week-long vacation, they knew Frannie’s reunion with him would be emotional.
What they didn’t expect was that Dan had a surprise planned.

The Sweetest Gift
When the family returned home, Frannie rushed to the door as soon as she heard the familiar truck.
Dan crouched down to greet her — and then handed her something special:
a tiny bouquet of sticks, perfectly sized just for her.
Frannie couldn’t contain herself.
She was already thrilled to be back in his arms, but the little bundle of sticks took the moment to another level entirely.
The Internet Fell in Love Too
The heartwarming moment quickly captured the attention of people online, who were deeply touched by the thoughtful gesture.
One viewer summed it up perfectly:
“If this is not true love, then what is?”
A Bond That Only Grows Stronger
Over the years, Frannie’s love for Postman Dan has only grown. And now, even her younger adopted sister, Gracie Bean, has joined in on the excitement.
Dan has become part of the family.
Every time he sees the two pups, he can’t help but smile — but there’s something especially magical about his bond with Frannie.
“He’s Frannie’s hero,” Lisa wrote.
And judging by the way Frannie waits at the door every single day, that feeling is completely mutual. 🐶📬💛
