Visitors heading to the Bristol Balloon Fiesta are not the only ones being treated to a colourful display in the skies above the city.
Over at Noah’s Ark Zoo Farm, a group of curious meerkats have also been enjoying an impressive view as hot air balloons drift overhead.
Front-Row Seats for the Fiesta
The annual Bristol Balloon Fiesta is taking place at Ashton Court, with more than 100 balloons expected to fill the sky during the event.
While thousands of spectators travel across Bristol in search of the perfect place to watch, the meerkats have secured a viewing spot that is difficult to beat.
From their enclosure at Noah’s Ark Zoo Farm, the animals can look up as brightly coloured balloons make their way across the skyline.
A Little Extra Entertainment
The unusual activity above appears to have caught the meerkats’ attention, giving the naturally inquisitive animals something different to observe.
Pictures from the zoo show them looking towards the sky as the balloons pass overhead, seemingly fascinated by the colourful spectacle unfolding above them.

For visitors, the Bristol Balloon Fiesta is one of the city’s most memorable annual sights. For these meerkats, however, the show has come directly to them.
