“I’m going to have to Milo-proof the whole house” 😅
In most households, humans take charge of daily affairs. But in one Ohio home, a mischievous cat named Milo rules the roost.
Milo isn’t the only furry resident—he begrudgingly shares space with both canine and feline siblings. However, none wield as much influence as he does.
“A true master manipulator,” his parents shared on Instagram. From the moment he wakes up until his strict 11 p.m. bedtime, Milo is on a mission to craft the perfect day. His list of non-negotiable demands includes watching SpongeBob SquarePants and basking in front of his beloved electric fireplace for hours on end.
Though he adores his doting parents, he has little patience for his fellow pets and goes to great lengths to remove them from his presence. Milo may not have the words to say, “Leave,” but he’s perfected the art of making his message loud and clear.
“When he wants our dog to go into his crate, he simply sits inside it himself—an irresistible lure,” his parents wrote. Aware of his antics, they regularly “Milo-proof” the home. But recently, they were caught off guard when they heard an odd noise coming from a kitchen cabinet.
It all began when Poppy, one of Milo’s feline housemates, mysteriously vanished. After nearly an hour of searching, they found her—trapped inside a cabinet. Bewildered by how she got there, they freed her and carried on with their day.
But less than a day later, they caught Milo lingering near the same cabinet. Sensing something was up, they watched closely—and soon witnessed his master plan in action.
“I kept recording and saw that he waited patiently by the cabinet until Poppy walked inside,” his parents wrote. “Then, without hesitation, he shut the door and bolted from the scene.”
Moments later, Milo returned to the closed cabinet and stretched out in front of it, relishing his solitude. Unfortunately for him, his peace was short-lived, as his parents once again rescued a bewildered Poppy.
“I guess I need to Milo-proof the entire house,” they wrote.
After a full day of carefully orchestrated pranks, Milo demands bedtime at precisely 11 p.m., snuggling up with his parents before preparing for his next round of mischief in the morning.
His devotion to a life of crime remains a mystery, but one thing is certain—his antics keep the household entertained.
“There’s never a dull moment with Milo,” his parents mused.
