“She is the sweetest girl.”
Sydney found herself in a dire situation after an accident in the house led her owner to abandon her in a dumpster. Fortunately, she was discovered and taken to a local shelter, but her troubles were far from over. Sydney, who was unwell and needed isolation for treatment, faced the threat of being euthanized due to the shelter’s lack of space.
Thankfully, Dochas N Gra Animal Rescue learned of Sydney’s predicament and swiftly intervened to help.
“We saw the post and contacted the shelter,” Victoria McGonigal, the owner of Dochas N Gra Animal Rescue, said. “I work with them often on medical cases.”
Sydney had an upper respiratory infection that needed treatment, but otherwise, she seemed to be doing well. The sweet pup remained in good spirits, even after everything she had endured.
“She is the sweetest girl,” McGonigal shared. “She adores belly rubs, snuggles, and has a habit of giving lots of kisses.”
Despite enduring a harsh environment in her previous home, Sydney never lost her hope of finding love. Now, she is making the most of her newfound happiness.
Sydney has been thriving at the rescue and sanctuary, joyfully exploring her new surroundings, meeting cows, horses, and goats, and forming bonds with the other dogs. Her life has transformed dramatically from her past, and it’s evident how grateful she is to everyone who came to her aid.
