“He always makes my day.β
The other day, an electrical technician in Texas arrived at a property for what was supposed to be a routine inspection. The home was for sale, and the technician from Averson Inspections was there to check the outdoor electrical panel.
But before he could get very far, he discovered something unexpected.
Waiting near the panel was a donkey.
The technician had been prepared for electrical issues, but not for a friendly animal demanding attention. The donkey immediately made himself known, approaching the visitor and playfully nibbling at him as if asking for affection.
Averson Inspections later joked that the surprise at the electrical panel was shocking β but for once, it had nothing to do with electricity.

The company said donkeys are not something their technicians usually encounter on the job, making the moment especially memorable.
But the technician wasnβt the only person who had met the donkey. Real estate agent Christie Minalga had also visited the property several times and knew the friendly animal well.
According to Minalga, the donkey follows people around almost like a dog. Wherever visitors go, he appears nearby, ready to say hello. She said he always brightens her day.
Although the donkey would probably make the property even more charming to potential buyers, he is not included in the sale. His owners love him deeply and plan to take him with them when they move.
So while the future homeowners may get the property, they wonβt get its cheerful donkey greeter. For now, though, he continues making inspections and showings much more entertaining than expected.
