At first, they weren’t sure whether the motionless bird had survived
Earlier this month, Adam Franks and his girlfriend, Claire, traveled from Vancouver, Canada, to a wooded property in Wahta Mohawk Territory, Ontario.
The land holds deep meaning for Adam. Years ago, his father had chosen the property as the place where he hoped to build a home. Sadly, he passed away while Adam was still a teenager.
Now, Adam hopes to carry that dream forward.
But during this particular visit, he and Claire unexpectedly found themselves helping save a life.
Something Was Trapped Between The Trees
Because Adam lives in another province, he doesn’t get many opportunities to visit the property.
That made the timing of this trip especially remarkable.
As the couple approached the area where Adam’s father had planned to build, they noticed something unusual among the trees.
A bald eagle was wedged between two trunks.
The bird was completely still.
For a moment, Adam and Claire couldn’t tell whether he was alive.
Then Adam noticed the eagle’s eye watching him.
When he moved closer, the bird suddenly flinched.
That small movement told them everything they needed to know.
