Amidst Noah’s Ark’s recent arrivals, a charmingly fluffy Bactrian female camel calf stole the spotlight, entering the world under the watchful eye of her proud mother, Hetty. Clare Roberts, the Lead Camel Keeper, shared the awe-inspiring journey of a 13-month-long gestation leading to the birth of this precious calf. Witnessing her first tentative steps evolve into confident bounds within hours was a moment of sheer joy for all.

“To commemorate this milestone, we’re extending an invitation to the public to participate in naming the camel calf,” Roberts announced. Name suggestions are pouring in through Noah’s Ark’s vibrant community on Facebook and Instagram, and the chosen name will be unveiled on the 18th of October, adding another layer of uniqueness to this heartwarming tale.”

 

Beyond the enchanting arrival of the fluffy Bactrian camel calf, a zebra-striped sensation named Azizi has pranced into the Zebra herd, born to the watchful Nola. Jayne James, Lead Africa Keeper, shared the unfolding tale: ‘Azizi’s inquisitive and cheeky nature shines as she fearlessly explores her paddock under the watchful eye of Nola. And with the weather on her side, Azizi often indulges in sunshine-drenched daydreams.’

But hold onto your hearts—baby bliss continues! Meet Roo, Hobnob, Squirrel, Nutella, and Marmite, the guinea pig pups stealing the spotlight in Noah’s Ark’s Animal Village. These pint-sized bundles of joy add an extra layer of cuteness to the ark’s ever-growing family, creating a haven for visitors to immerse themselves in the magic of new beginnings.

Larry Bush, the maestro orchestrating Noah’s Ark, couldn’t contain his joy as he spoke about the flourishing animal family. With a twinkle in his eye, he revealed, ‘The camel calf chose my birthday to make her grand entrance, and after 13 months of anticipation, it was the most unexpected and perfect gift! These newest residents, like a symphony of happiness, have not only filled our hearts but promise to sprinkle joy during the upcoming October half term for our visitors. It’s like they have a special talent for spreading happiness, not just among our cherished animals but also among our dedicated staff.
