Now in its fifth consecutive year, this initiative was inspired by Age UK’s campaign to combat loneliness during the holiday season. The charity reports that nearly 1.5 million older people feel lonelier at Christmas than at any other time of the year.

Those bundled up warmly can also embark on a Christmas trail around the zoo.
