β€œI immediately thought, β€˜How could someone do this to them?’” πŸ˜”

Late last month, a traveler in South Wales came across something unusual: an abandoned plastic crate left in the middle of the road, containing small balls of black fluff. Upon closer inspection, the traveler discovered that the fluff was actually a group of kittens, only a few weeks old.

β€œWe were heartbroken to get the call about these kittens,” said Angharad Williams, manager of All Creatures Great And Small sanctuary. β€œI was devastated, thinking, β€˜How could anyone do this? How could they abandon these tiny lives and walk away without a second thought?’ It was truly upsetting.”

The staff at All Creatures Great And Small quickly stepped in to rescue the kittens and make space for them at their facility.

β€œThe kittens were initially very frightened of people,” Williams noted. β€œThe veterinarians estimated they were about 6 weeks old, which is far too young to be separated from their mother.”

The group, consisting of three males and one female, began to slowly adapt to their new environment, tentatively nibbling on food and treats when they arrived.

Over time, the kittens grew more confident and started to come out of their shells.

β€œThey are now very happy and thriving in our cattery,” Williams reported. β€œThe female is quite calm and prefers her own space, while the boys engage in playful roughhousing all day. They are a joy to watch and have developed a strong affection for human interaction.”
