Just as Debacker was about to trap the kitten, she anxiously flew away — sprinting back across the busy road, much to her rescuer’s fright.
Abandoning every ounce of fear, Debacker ran after the kitten. Finally, he managed to trap her in the safety of his net.
Debacker brought the kitten to Last Hope Animal Shelter for evaluation. During the drive, he got to know his new friend and discovered her endearing personality. Now safe, the kitten had plenty of affection to offer.
“She is one of the sweetest kittens I’ve ever met,” Debacker said.
Thanks to Debacker’s swift action, the kitten has a name and a happy ending.
“Her name is Wanda,” Debacker shared. “The original caller who requested help plans to adopt her.”
