Firefighters Rescue Tiny Black Kitten Trapped Under Car

A Georgia teacher received an unexpected surprise when firefighters rescued a tiny black kitten trapped beneath her car. The unusual discovery happened just weeks before Halloween, making the rescue even more special for the teacher and her husband.

Nicole Motahari, a high school teacher from Sandy Springs, Georgia, was driving with her husband, Brandon, when another motorist began honking.

The couple soon discovered that something was hanging underneath their vehicle.

That mysterious object turned out to be a frightened black kitten trapped in the car’s suspension.

“It was a pretty wild story,” Nicole told Good News Network.

The couple had been heading out to collect birthday cupcakes for Nicole’s journalism students. Instead, their journey turned into an unexpected animal rescue.

Firefighters Rush to Save Trapped Kitten

Nicole and Brandon immediately stopped driving after discovering the tiny passenger.

They knew moving the vehicle could seriously injure the kitten, so they called emergency services.

Three firefighters and two police officers arrived to help.

The rescue team carefully worked to free the stubborn kitten from the suspension.

Despite his tiny size, the frightened animal proved difficult to reach.

Fortunately, the emergency responders successfully removed him without causing further harm.

The kitten weighed just over one pound, approximately 544 grams.

Nicole and Brandon immediately took their unexpected passenger to a veterinarian.

“We took him straight to the vet,” Nicole explained.

The examination revealed that the kitten was less than seven weeks old.

A Special Halloween Anniversary Surprise

For Nicole and Brandon, the kitten’s arrival carried an unusual coincidence.

The couple married on Halloween, making October an especially meaningful month.

Finding a tiny black kitten just before their wedding anniversary seemed almost too perfect.

Instead of viewing the encounter as bad luck, they saw it as a wonderful surprise.

“Adopting a tiny black kitten in October feels especially fitting!” Nicole said.

The couple quickly decided they couldn’t abandon their unexpected companion.

“We couldn’t just send him on his way,” she explained.

They welcomed the kitten into their home and gave him a fitting name: Friday Shadow.

The little black cat now enjoys a safe, loving home after his frightening adventure beneath the vehicle.

Tiny Kitten Finds a Loving Forever Home

Friday Shadow’s rescue quickly became a memorable experience for the family.

What began as an ordinary trip to collect cupcakes ended with a new family member.

The couple never expected to adopt a kitten that morning. However, they believe the timing made the experience even more meaningful.

With their Halloween wedding anniversary approaching, Friday Shadow became an unexpected gift.

The kitten’s dark fur and unusual rescue story made his arrival especially memorable.

More importantly, his new owners could provide the safety and care he needed.

Couple Praises Firefighters and Police Officers

Although Friday Shadow captured their hearts, Nicole and Brandon wanted to highlight the people who saved him.

They praised the firefighters and police officers who responded to their emergency call.

The couple believes these first responders deserve recognition for protecting such a small, vulnerable animal.

“These wonderful first responders should get some recognition for going above and beyond to save such a tiny life,” Nicole said.

Their quick response helped prevent a potentially tragic outcome.

The rescue also reminded the couple how small acts of kindness can make a lasting difference.

An Unexpected Gift They’ll Never Forget

Friday Shadow has already brought happiness into his new home.

His rescue turned an ordinary October morning into a story Nicole and Brandon will remember for years.

The experience also gave the couple another reason to celebrate their Halloween anniversary.

What started with a concerned driver honking quickly became a heartwarming story of teamwork, compassion and an unexpected adoption.

“Somehow, this tiny black kitten managed to show up just in time to become the most unexpected anniversary present we could have imagined,” Nicole said.

For Friday Shadow, a frightening journey beneath a car ended with a second chance at life and a loving family to call his own.
