Jennifer Lopez and Brett Goldstein showed up to their Dodo Dream Date ready to impress their special guest β Regina, an adoptable rescue dog. Instead of traditional flowers, they brought plush chew-toy roses, the perfect gift for their four-legged date.
The pair were clearly excited before Regina even arrived. Once the 3-year-old dog joined them on the couch, the room immediately filled with smiles.
Regina had been rescued by Wags and Walks in Los Angeles and had been looking for a forever home for about three weeks. Jennifer was surprised that such a sweet dog was still waiting to be adopted.
βAnybody would be so lucky to have you,β she told Regina.

Jennifer and Brett came prepared with colorful βmystery jarsβ filled with toys, treats and questions to help everyone get to know one another. Regina was especially interested in the treats and happily enjoyed the attention.
During the date, Jennifer and Brett also spoke about their new film, βOffice Romance,β and discussed what it can be like to date someone you work with. Jennifer said the benefit is getting to spend time together every day, but that can also become the biggest challenge if things do not go smoothly.

Brett explained that he and co-writer Joe Kelly wanted to create an old-fashioned romantic comedy because they both love the genre and felt audiences had not seen a great one in a while.
As Regina relaxed beside them, Jennifer was asked what kind of person her own dogs might choose for her. She joked that one of her dogs is blind and probably would not be very selective, as long as someone gave her affection. Her dog Tyson, however, would likely prefer someone affectionate who enjoys plenty of attention and cuddles.

Before the date ended, Jennifer and Brett had one final surprise for Regina: a basket full of toys for her to take when she found her forever family.
When asked about his favorite part of the date, Brett had a simple answer β he loved all of it.

Reginaβs story soon became even happier. Shortly after the Dream Date, she was adopted by Dodo team member Abby.

Now renamed Ladybug, the former rescue dog is enjoying life with her new family. Abby said she met Ladybug while filming the Dream Date and quickly fell for her. Ladybug now spends her days loving people, playing tug and keeping an eye on the squirrel causing trouble in the garden.

Most importantly, Regina β now Ladybug β finally has the loving home she deserved.
