A Chew-Toy Bouquet for Affogato
Ella Purnell arrived with a beautiful bouquet of chew-toy roses for her Dream Date with a handsome rescue dog named Affogato. Though she admitted to feeling nervous at first, the ice was quickly broken—in the most adorable way.
Affogato, in his friendly and charming manner, made sure of that.
Gifts and Treats
The flower toy, which 3-year-old Affogato eagerly accepted, wasn’t the only sweet gesture from Ella. She also brought an array of colorful jars filled with items she thought her furry date would enjoy.
“We have treats, we have toys, and we can get to know each other,” Ella said.
Affogato, the lovebug he is, was smitten from the very start.
A Gentleman at Heart
As Ella asked some get-to-know-you questions, Affogato excitedly sniffed through the jars of toys and treats—pausing politely to sit like a fine, furry gentleman when offered a strawberry from Ella’s hand.
“You’re so good!” Ella exclaimed. She was smitten too.
A Star Who Loves Dogs
Ella isn’t new to bonding with dogs. She stars in the show Fallout, streaming now on Amazon Prime Video, alongside a canine actor playing a pup named CX404.
“Affogato and CX404 would be friends,” Ella said.
Learning About Affogato
As the Dream Date continued, Ella learned more about Affogato—an adoptable dog rescued by Muddy Paws Rescue in New York City. He loves toys, treats, and people, and is working hard to be his best self for a forever family.
“Someone better take him home before I do,” Ella joked.
The Perfect Ending
Both Ella and Affogato delighted in their time together. By the end of the date, all the treats had been enjoyed and all the toys revealed—but the story didn’t end there.
Ella prepared a care package filled with Affogato’s favorite items to accompany him when he is finally adopted by a lucky family.
“I wish I could take this guy home with me, but sadly, I can’t,” Ella said. “But you can!”
