Actress Brie Larson and chef Courtney McBroom went all out to host a Halloween bash for their Dodo Dream Date, and their hard work paid off β with wagging tails and happy hearts all around.
The first guest to arrive was Walt, a 10-year-old pup whoβd once been found wandering alone near a home. After plenty of cuddles and introductions, Brie and Courtney led him to his first party game β a pumpkin treat hunt. Walt proved to be a pro, sniffing out every hidden snack with ease.
Next up, the hosts challenged each other to a ring toss on witch hats. It ended in a tie, and both declared their prize to be Waltβs affection β which he happily offered.

Soon after, Spokes, a young wheelchair-using dog, rolled in full of confidence and excitement. Knowing he was a foodie, Brie and Courtney decided to prepare four dog-friendly versions of dishes from their cookbook Party People.
Spokes got to taste a canine California roll, a sugar-free raspberry lemonade, and even a twist on deviled eggs β his absolute favorite. βI think we made a mistake making a cookbook for humans,β Courtney joked. βWe should make one for dogs next.β

The next guest, a sweet pup named Magnolia, came ready for cuddles. After soaking up belly rubs, she joined a round of βThis or That.β Though she hesitated at first, she finally made her pick β a night out on the town. βSheβs fashionably late,β Brie laughed. βDefinitely our βlate-to-the-partyβ type.β

To close out the festivities, Brie and Courtney donned costumes as two classic dog favorites β cheese and peanut butter. The dogs joined in too: Walt dressed as a cowboy, Spokes as a hot dog, and Magnolia as a mermaid.

After a round of treats and laughter, it was time to clean up. With a quick pass of the Shark StainForce, the party space was spotless again β and ready for another round of puppy fun.

It was a Halloween celebration filled with joy, friendship, and the kind of unconditional love that only rescue dogs can bring.
