โHe wanted to be held and told everything would be OKโ ๐ฅบ
On a chilly January day in St. Louis, Missouri, police officers spotted a black-and-white dog wandering alone through a neighborhood. They quickly secured the scared pup and called Stray Rescue of St. Louis (SRSL) for help.
Donna Lochmann, leader of SRSLโs rescue team, arrived soon after and took Bowie into her care. As she gently lifted him into the car, Bowie nestled into her shoulder and let out a deep, relieved sigh.

โThis sweet baby boy was beside himself, running the streets all alone,โ SRSL shared on Facebook. โHe wanted to be held and told everything would be OK.โ
Throughout the car ride, Lochmann comforted Bowie, reminding him how special he was. The connection was immediate โ the once-frightened dog finally felt safe and loved.
โWe love him already,โ SRSL wrote.

Just days later, Bowie found a wonderful foster family ready to help him prepare for adoption. On his first car ride to his new home, Bowie was all smiles, happily riding alongside his two new best friends.
โSee how happy Bowie is to go to foster?โ SRSL wrote. โThatโs how we feel!โ
While his foster parents adored him instantly, it was Bowie’s new furry brother, Ramone, who stole his heart.

โRamone is absolutely smitten with him,โ Bowieโs foster, Anne-Marie Theresa, commented. โHe loves to play with other dogs and is a professional snuggle bug!โ
In the months since his rescue, Bowie has blossomed with his devoted foster family. Though still searching for his forever home, those caring for him are confident that the perfect family will soon realize just how incredible he is.
โHe loves cuddling with people and learning new things!โ SRSL shared. The local community has fallen in love with Bowie โ even Imoโs Pizza has offered to cover his adoption fee.
All thatโs left is for someone to give this wonderful pup a forever family.
โThis is one great pup, and heโs ready for you!โ SRSL wrote.
