The world’s smallest dog, Pearl, flew in from Florida for a two-day date with Reginald β who measures a whopping 3-feet, 3-inches β at his home in Idaho Falls.
Biggest Meets Smallest: A Paw-sitively Adorable Guinness World Record Playdate
When Guinness World Records brought together the tallest and the tiniest certified living dogs on the planet, no one quite knew what to expect β but the results were all tail wags and heart-melting moments.

Reginald, or βReggie,β a gentle giant Great Dane from Idaho Falls, measures a staggering 3 feet 3 inches tall β roughly the size of a small horse. His playmate? None other than Pearl, a 3.59-inch-tall chihuahua from Orlando, Florida, whoβs smaller than a soda can and weighs about as much as a slice of bread.
Despite their comical size difference, the two pups hit it off during a special two-day meet-up arranged by Guinness. While Pearlβs owner, Vanesa Semler, was nervous at first, her fears quickly vanished. βReggie is like Pearl, in bigger size,β she said. βHe is so gentle, so friendly.β
Reggieβs owner, Sam Johnson Reiss, admitted the towering dog was a bit bewildered by his pint-sized guest at first. βHe was very careful, like he didnβt step on her or anything. He was just very aware.β

Over the course of their Idaho farm visit, the pair shared toys, explored the great outdoors, and charmed the Guinness film crew with their unlikely friendship. While a few minor turf wars over toys occurred, it was clear they had formed a sweet bond.
Off the field, both dogs have diva tendencies. Pearl reportedly picks out her outfits each morning, while Reggie enjoys the spotlight on his growing Instagram page β demanding attention with cheeky antics and expressive eyes.

βSheβs always been our diva,β Semler said proudly. βNow sheβs a diva for everyone.β
And Reggie? Heβs happy to share the limelight β as long as his bed, snacks, and camera angles are just right.
