Galena, a timid indoor cat from Utah, sparked a baffling mystery when she vanished without a trace. However, her whereabouts were soon revealed in a remarkable turn of events: Galena was found in an Amazon warehouse in California, surviving six days without food or water after inadvertently hitching a ride with an Amazon return shipment.

The ordeal began when Galena mysteriously disappeared on April 10, leaving her owners, Carrie Clark and her husband, perplexed. Despite their efforts to locate her, they were at a loss until receiving a notification that Galena’s microchip had been scanned in Los Angeles.

It was then that the Clarks learned the astonishing truth: Galena had accidentally stowed away in an oversized box they had shipped out the previous week. As a cat with a penchant for playing in boxes, Galena had found herself on an unexpected journey across state lines.

Upon hearing the news, the Clarks were overwhelmed with relief and gratitude. They quickly made arrangements to reunite with their beloved feline companion in California.

For Carrie Clark, Galena’s presence is not just about companionship but also vital emotional support during challenging times. The anxiety and uncertainty of Galena’s disappearance had weighed heavily on her, making the reunion all the more poignant.

Galena’s survival and unharmed condition were nothing short of miraculous, a testament to her resilience and the kindness of strangers like Brandy, the Amazon warehouse worker who found her.

As the Clarks shared their story and updated the Utah County Lost & Found PETS group, they expressed gratitude for the “tender mercies” that had brought Galena safely home. Despite her ordeal, Galena’s bloodwork was normal, leaving her owners in awe of her remarkable resilience.
