“I don’t know how she got there …”
After a grueling 12-hour shift, truck driver Fitz Francois was ready to call it a day when an unexpected sound stopped him in his tracks. A persistent meowing led Francois to discover a tiny gray-and-white kitten hiding in the suspension coils of his tractor trailer.
“I don’t know how she got there,” Francois said, puzzled. “It felt like she was placed there, which is weird to think.”
Despite her initial fear, the kitten eventually warmed up to Francois, climbing into his hands as if she knew she’d found safety. Francois, a self-proclaimed novice with pets, wasted no time showing her love. He bought her treats, gave her a gentle bath, and spent the night swaddling her in a hotel room.
By morning, the bond between them was undeniable. Francois took the kitten, whom he named Micki, to the vet, where she was given a clean bill of health. “She was just a perfect little angel,” Francois shared.
Though he hadn’t planned on becoming a pet owner, Francois is now inseparable from his new furry co-pilot. Micki has quickly adjusted to life on the road, bringing joy to her new dad as they embark on countless adventures together.
“She’s the one thing in my life that I didn’t know I needed,” Francois said, marveling at how fate brought them together. “It was the cat distribution system, and I was chosen.” 🐾
