A third of the four raccoons that escaped from Amazon World Zoo Park on the Isle of Wight has been successfully captured. The zoo, located near Sandown, had reached out to the public for assistance in locating the 18-month-old female raccoons after they mysteriously went missing from their enclosure.

The zoo initially reported the escape on Friday, sparking a social media campaign to raise awareness and enlist the help of local residents. Over the weekend, two of the raccoons were captured, with their successful retrieval providing hope to staff and the community. By early Monday morning, the zoo announced that the third raccoon had also been found.

With only one raccoon still on the loose, the zoo continues to urge the public to keep an eye out for the remaining animal. The staff is working diligently to ensure the safety of both the raccoons and the local community, emphasizing the importance of locating the last escapee quickly. The situation has captured the attention of animal lovers and residents alike, who are eager to see all four raccoons returned safely to their home.
