Dubbed Stormi upon arrival at the shelter, the kitten was promptly taken to headquarters for rehabilitation.
Several days later, fate intervened once more when SRAS received an urgent call regarding another distressed baby animal stuck in the same drain.
Returning to the site, the team was met with the plaintive cries of yet another tiny kitten in need of rescue.
“This time, animal control officer Chris discovered another precious female kitten, and we named her Sunny,” SRAS recounted with relief and joy on their social media platform.
