A heartwarming story has emerged from Kew Little Pigs in Amersham, Buckinghamshire, with the return of two missing goats being described as a “Christmas miracle.”
The goats, Blitzen and Rose, were among four animals taken from the farm on Tuesday. However, on Monday night, a member of the public alerted the farm after spotting the two missing goats in a field in Farnham Royal, just 15 minutes away from where they had disappeared.
Thames Valley Police confirmed that the goats had been safely returned, and the investigation is ongoing.
The landowner where the goats were found told Kew Little Pigs that he had purchased the goats from a man in a van the previous week. He assisted in returning them to the farm and provided a description of the suspect to the police.
Although the goats were missing their ear tags, they appeared to be in good health.
Olivia Mikhail, owner of Kew Little Pigs, expressed her gratitude: “I can’t thank the member of the public enough. This really is our Christmas miracle. After such a traumatic week, we now have so much hope. The goats are safely home and will be under supervision from now on.”
She also thanked everyone who had offered support during this challenging time: “While it won’t be over until Sunday and Comet are home, we truly thank you all from the bottom of our hearts.”
This marks the second time goats have been stolen from the farm. A group of seven goats taken in October 2022 has never been recovered.
