Last week, Arminda Villanueva went to a market in Cozumel, Mexico, expecting a simple grocery trip. She only needed to pick up a few ingredients, but her quick stop turned into a funny surprise.
While Arminda was walking through the produce section, she reached for a bunch of cilantro. Just as she moved her hand toward the herbs, something nearby suddenly caught her attention and startled her.
At first, it was difficult to see what was hiding there. Among the green vegetables and herbs was a small green parrot, blending in so well that he almost looked like part of the produce display.
The little bird had made himself comfortable beside a stack of fresh cucumbers and was happily eating as if he had found his own private buffet.
Arminda couldn’t help but laugh at the unexpected visitor. The parrot’s bright green feathers matched the vegetables perfectly, making him easy to miss until he moved.
It seemed the bird had wandered into the store and discovered a dream spot filled with fruits, vegetables and fresh herbs. Instead of being frightened by the people around him, he calmly enjoyed his snack.
After nibbling on the cucumbers, the parrot flew up to a rafter near the ceiling. From there, he watched the shoppers below and appeared to wait for another chance to return to the produce section.
Arminda told the store staff about the bird in case they needed to help guide him safely outside. But the parrot seemed relaxed and completely satisfied with his unusual grocery store adventure.
What started as an ordinary errand quickly became a memorable moment. Arminda left with more than just groceries — she also left with a cheerful story about a hungry little parrot who turned a regular shopping trip into something special.
