When Lisa Magick realized her beloved cat, Fry, had vanished, she immediately feared something terrible had happened.
The 16-year-old diabetic cat had recently become more adventurous and had started asking to go outside each morning. Magick had grown used to letting him explore for a few hours before welcoming him back home.

His Microchip Revealed the Truth
The woman later took Fry to a veterinarian.
During the appointment, staff discovered that the cat had a microchip.
That identification revealed that Fry already had a family and that Magick had been desperately trying to find him.
Once the woman realized what had happened, she contacted Magick.
For Fry’s worried owner, simply hearing that he was alive brought enormous relief.
An Emotional Reunion Follows
Arrangements were made to bring Fry home.
When the woman returned him, the two women finally met in person.
Magick said they hugged and cried together as Fry was reunited with the person who had spent so long searching for him.

Fry now wears a collar equipped with a tracking device, making it much easier to monitor his future adventures.
She is also keeping a closer eye on him whenever he wants to explore outdoors.
