An animal charity in Surrey is seeking a loving home for a partially sighted cat and his devoted companion. Kane, a four-year-old male, and Candy, a five-year-old female, arrived at the RSPCA Millbrook Animal Centre in Chobham on March 18 after their owners could no longer care for them due to personal circumstances.
Vets have determined that Kane has very limited vision, capable of perceiving only movements and light. Sue Walters, the center’s manager, expressed their hopes: βWe really hope we can find the perfect home for these cats, as although they both have different needs, they are incredibly bonded and Kane is often guided by Candy.β
The charity is appealing to potential adopters to consider providing a home where these inseparable friends can thrive together.
As Euro 2024 kicks off, the RSPCA Millbrook Animal Centre is optimistic that Kaneβs namesake, reminiscent of the football star Harry Kane, could help spark interest in potential adopters for their special pair, Kane and Candy.
Despite their undeniable charm, Sue Walters, the centre’s manager, lamented, βUnfortunately, we havenβt received any inquiries about them yet. Weβre hoping that just as fans across Surrey are rooting for football success this summer with Harry Kane and his England team-mates, someone will step forward to give our Kane and Candy a loving home.β
The centre is eager to find a caring family willing to adopt this inseparable duo. Those interested are urged to get in touch with the RSPCA centre.
