Trick or Treat? Tiger mom Yana inspects the pumpkins before her four rare Amur cubs dive into the autumn feast.

Now approaching six months old, Ginger Biscuit, Dora-Boo, Seeka, and Heidi are getting braver, exploring the main Safari Park with increasing curiosity.

Keepers use seasonal goodies as part of enrichment routines. Darren Beasley, head of animal operations, shared:

β€œWe’re proud to have the largest tiger collection in the UK and thrilled at how Yana and our team have helped the cubs flourish.

Adding fresh elements to their environment encourages natural instincts and dynamic sensory engagement. Yana inspected the pumpkins first, then allowed her cubs to investigate, but the classic autumn dish didn’t stand a chanceβ€”it was soon in pieces!”

Though cubs are only visible from the drive-through Safari, Longleat guests over half-term can meet smaller animals, with keepers introducing donkeys, ferrets, goats, and chickens.

The Great British Autumn event also includes Louby Lou’s Interactive Storytelling with the Woodland Wisps, red squirrel characters Mr. and Mrs. Nutkin, a haybale slide, scarecrow trail, and craft activities.
