He just wants to be somebodyโs shadow โค๏ธ๐โโฌ
When Ravi was brought to a veterinary clinic in Connecticut, the explanation his family gave for surrendering him was unexpectedโhe was simply too affectionate.
The family had only had Ravi for a short time before deciding he wasnโt the right fit. Staff at the clinic were heartbroken for the 8-year-old cat and quickly reached out to The Little Guild, a rescue organization they often partner with. Without hesitation, the rescue welcomed Ravi into their care. As they got to know him, they understood what his previous owners meantโRavi was incredibly affectionateโbut they couldnโt fathom how that could ever be a reason to give him up.

โHe has such a sweet and goofy personality,โ said Jennifer Langendoerfer, executive director of The Little Guild, in an interview with The Dodo. โHe adores cuddling with our staff and enjoys spending time with the other shelter cats. His absolute favorite thing is curling up in someoneโs lap for a cozy nap.โ
Raviโs affectionate nature makes him wonderfully clingyโin the best possible way. He thrives on love and attention, and thatโs exactly what he deserves.
Having spent about a month at The Little Guild, Ravi has adjusted well to shelter life, but heโs eager to find his forever home. And with the overwhelming interest in him, that shouldnโt take long.

โWeโve received over 100 adoption applications for Ravi,โ Langendoerfer shared. โOur small team is carefully reviewing them to ensure he finds the perfect match.โ

Raviโs needs for his future home are simple: unconditional love and endless cuddles. โHe would do well in almost any home,โ Langendoerfer added. โHis ideal adopter is someone who enjoys snuggling and doesnโt mind a furry little shadow following them around, always seeking affection.โ
