Named Nanny McPhee after the fictional film character, the feline arrived at the shelter due to her owner’s health challenges. The revelation of her two noses came during a veterinary check-up, attributing the unique feature to a congenital abnormality. Despite being a “one-of-a-kind” occurrence, the black and white cat hasn’t experienced any adverse effects from her distinctive snouts.
Veterinary officer Fiona Brockbank expressed amazement, stating, “A cat with two noses is a first for us. This is a real rarity, and thankfully, it isn’t causing her any problems at all.” As part of the standard procedure, Nanny McPhee will be neutered before re-homing, ensuring the resolution of any potential inherited issues.
