“I’m doing what I can to help.”

Last week, Brazilian author Aline Magnani was feeling under the weather, so she opted to work from home instead of riding her motorcycle to the office.

However, during that time, the bike wasn’t exactly left untouched. When Magnani recovered and decided to head out on Monday, she grabbed her helmet and bag, only to discover an unexpected guest on her motorcycle.

A little turtledove was perched near the handlebars, and when Magnani noticed, she couldn’t help but laugh. β€œI asked, β€˜What are you doing here?’” she said. β€œThe bird just stood up and moved to another part of the bike, almost like it was explaining itself to me.”

As it turns out, the turtledove had a very good reason for staying put. It’s likely that the bird’s nest will hatch in a few weeks, and for now, Magnani is more than happy to let her two-wheeled friend remain.

β€œI feel like the mom needs my help,” Magnani shared. β€œI’ve been ordering in instead of going out, and adjusting my schedule around my boyfriend’s availability to be supportive. I’m doing what I can to make things easier.”
