He’s a feisty one.
This week, on a snowy winter morning in Alaska, Branda Kostka’s usually peaceful backyard was anything but quiet.
An unexpected guest made sure of that. As Kostka glanced out her window, she spotted an energetic young moose that had somehow squeezed through a narrow gate and wandered onto her property. While she had seen moose before, typically nibbling on her fruit trees, this particular one had a different agenda.
It turned out that Kostka’s kids had left a toy ball in the yard, and the curious moose had found it. “Before he started playing with the ball, he was bluff charging at random objects,” Kostka explained to The Dodo. “At first, I thought he was angry, but then I realized he was just young and full of energy.”
The moose thoroughly enjoyed himself, tossing the ball around and having a great time in Kostka’s yard. After a few minutes of play, he decided it was time to leave, heading back the way he came.
As for the kids’ bright pink ball?
“It made it through just fine,” Kostka laughed. “Surprisingly!”
