“They’re everything to me” 💕
A Home for the Heart
They say home is where the heart is, and for Rubén, who goes by Noé, that statement rings especially true. Although he doesn’t have a permanent home of his own, Noé has made it his mission to provide love and care for every homeless dog he encounters in his Colombian city.
A Second Chance for Every Dog
Whether abandoned at a stoplight or left behind in an apartment, Noé is always ready to offer these dogs a second chance. He deeply believes in the importance of giving every dog he meets a loving home.
“They are living beings,” Noé shared in an interview with IguanaTV. “They are everything to me.”
A Growing Pack
What started as a small group of rescues has grown into a large family of dogs, each with a unique story. From puppies to seniors, Noé’s pack now needs a double-decker push cart to travel together. Despite their different histories, each dog is treated with the same care and affection.
“This is Rocky. He was left tied up at a traffic light,” Noé explained. “These two girls, Ears and Cheeks, were abandoned as pups. I’ve had them since they were little.”
Rocky, Ears, and Cheeks are joined by their siblings, including Tyson, a pit bull, and Shakira, a German shepherd, who ride on the top deck of the cart. Below, the older dogs—Tembleque, Parkinson, and Morochito—enjoy the ride in the lower section.
“These are the seniors,” Noé continued. “Little Morochito was left for me while I was resting outside a store.”
Heartfelt Care and Love
Although these dogs have faced heartbreaking pasts, their lives have transformed since being taken in by Noé. Whether on the move around the city or enjoying a home-cooked meal, they are cherished by their dedicated rescuer.
Noé takes great joy in feeding his pack. “I buy milk, carrots, oats, and combine them with ground meat and seeds,” he said. “I make them a hearty meal so they eat well.”
Even when Noé hasn’t eaten himself, seeing his dogs enjoy their food fills him with happiness.
“They eat first,” he said. “My food is less important to me.”
The Bond of Unconditional Love
Once the dogs are fed, Noé often enjoys a quick arepa and coffee before continuing his journey with his furry family. His dogs are not just companions—they are the reason he wakes up every morning, providing him with a sense of purpose.
“The dogs keep me busy and give me a reason to wake up every day,” Noé shared. “They don’t care if I’m bearded, toothless, dirty, or clean. They just want me by their side.”
Even on tough days, Noé finds solace in the unconditional love of his pack. For him, there’s no greater joy than the love of a dog.
“A dog’s love is the best there is,” Noé said.
