He raced to help them.

A man was walking along a busy road when he suddenly noticed soft, high-pitched cries coming from a nearby patch of bushes. Concerned, he stopped and went closer to see what was happening.

At first, he was puzzled when he discovered an abandoned shopping basket hidden in the greenery. But as he looked inside, he quickly realized where the cries were coming from.

Five Kittens Found Abandoned

Inside the basket were five tiny kittens, huddled together and clearly frightened. They appeared confused, restless and in urgent need of help.

The man carefully pulled the basket from the bushes and contacted Galway SPCA so the kittens could receive proper care.

Galway SPCA later shared that they were thankful the kittens had been discovered before the situation became even more dangerous.

Rescuers Step In To Help

During this time of year, animal rescues often receive many calls about vulnerable kittens who have been abandoned or separated from their mothers. Although shelters are under a lot of pressure, rescuers continue to do everything possible to help animals in need.

Thanks to the quick response, the five kittens were brought to safety and began receiving the care they needed.

A Safe Start For The Little Family

The kittens spent their first few weeks with the rescue team, where they were monitored closely and given medical attention. Their rescuers named them Beaker, Bunsen, Cuvette, Petri and Pipette.

Once they were strong enough, the kittens were moved into a foster home, where they could continue growing in a calm and loving environment.

Getting Ready For Forever Homes

The kittens are not available for adoption yet. For now, they are enjoying life in their foster home, where they are learning how to feel safe, play and simply be kittens.

In the coming months, they will continue their vet care and learn the basic skills they need before they are ready to find permanent homes of their own.
