A frightened and hungry gray kitten named Baby had been surviving all alone, huddled in a suburban garden. Too small to fend for herself, she faced an uncertain future—until fate stepped in.
One day, Baby’s future mom was called outside by her husband, who’d spotted something unusual in their backyard. When they approached, the nervous kitten bolted. Refusing to give up, the couple left food out and patiently waited. Eventually, hunger drew Baby back, and with gentle persistence, they coaxed her into a cage.

For Baby’s mom, the rescue felt like destiny. “Two weeks before we found Baby, my daughter asked if we would ever get another kitten,” she said. “I told her, ‘I have a feeling we will.’ And then, literally two weeks later, the kitten distribution system put Baby in our backyard.”
