Meet Cristal — a cat whose journey took an unexpected turn six years ago in Medellín, Colombia. Initially hoping for a loving home, Cristal found herself at a shelter with her kittens, watching them all get adopted before her. But fate had something different in store.
Patas Parriba, a pet supplies store in a local mall, welcomed Cristal with open arms. Setting up a cozy space for her in the store, they allowed her to roam freely throughout the mall. Cristal quickly became a beloved fixture at Santafé Mall, delighting shoppers with her friendly demeanor and adventurous spirit.
Despite the unconventional living arrangement, Cristal thrived in her new environment. Establishing a routine of naps, exploration, and visits with neighboring stores, she embraced her role as the mall’s unofficial mascot.
After six years, Patas Parriba faced a tough decision as they relocated to a new mall. Recognizing that the new location wouldn’t be safe for Cristal, they reached out to Santafé Mall, who gladly adopted her into their family.
Now, under the care of mall personnel, Cristal continues to enchant visitors with her presence. While Patas Parriba misses her dearly, they’re comforted knowing she’s still living her best life, greeting everyone she meets with love and affection.
