Now that’s a hop ๐ฒ
Earlier this week, Nathan Xuebsy and his crew were working at a site in Victoria, Australia, when they were joined by an unexpected guest.
A lively kangaroo wandered into the area and found itself within the boundaries of a fenced, vacant lot. The crew kindly opened part of the metal fencing at the front to offer the kangaroo an easy way out. But the spirited marsupial had a different idea.
Instead of taking the simple route through the open fence, the kangaroo chose to leap over the wooden section. This resulted in an impressive “double jump,” propelling the kangaroo higher into the air than it likely anticipated.
Xuebsy managed to capture the entire event on video.
“I took a screenshot from the video when the kangaroo was at its peak,” Xuebsy shared with Australiaโs 9 News. “I posted it on Facebook and said I think Iโve just taken the best photo of my life.”
Fortunately, although the kangarooโs unexpected elevation might have caught him off guard, his descent on the other side of the fence seemed relatively controlledโlanding from such a height likely wasn’t much of a challenge for him.
According to World Animal Protection, kangaroos can jump as high as 10 feet vertically, so this high-flying ‘roo probably managed to touch down and continue hopping without missing a beat.
