A heartwarming rescue unfolded in Louth as a deer found itself trapped upside down between two houses, prompting a joint effort by the RSPCA and Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue.

With precision and care, rescuers employed ropes and poles to delicately maneuver the stricken animal through the narrow gap to safety. Animal rescue officer Karen Nix described the moment of liberation as “such a relief,” watching with joy as the deer bounded freely into the nearby undergrowth, its ordeal finally over.

Rescuers utilized ropes and poles to carefully guide the deer to safety.

On January 25th, crews from Louth Fire Station teamed up with animal rescue specialists from Lincoln North to rescue a male muntjac.

Using a combination of tools including a ladder, lines, and hooks, they carefully worked to free the trapped animal.

Describing the challenging rescue, Ms. Nix remarked, β€œThis was a tricky rescue because the deer was trapped so tightly and to complicate matters was also upside down – it must have been terrifying for him.”

Grateful for the collaboration, she extended her thanks to the Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue crews, acknowledging that their assistance was indispensable in ensuring the successful outcome of the rescue mission.
