“He was lucky to be found!”

All alone and nestled under a pile of vibrant green leaves just off a walking path in Victoria, Australia, a frightened baby animal waited, unsure of what to do. Too young to survive on his own, the fuzzy creature needed a miracle.

Fortunately, a Good Samaritan spotted the animalโ€™s perky ears peeking through the foliage. Soon, the news reached the staff at Central Goldfields Wildlife Rescue, who eagerly came to the rescue.

Eventually, a rescuer arrived to bring the wallaby to safety. โ€œPoor little darling should still be warm in his motherโ€™s pouch,โ€ the rescue noted in their post. โ€œThankfully, rescuer Trevor was able to go out and find him.โ€

At the rescue center, the wallaby gratefully received expert care. โ€œHe has been named Bono, and he is settling in well, receiving specialized formula every four hours,โ€ India Armstrong of Central Goldfields Wildlife Rescue shared.

These days, Bono spends his afternoons with other orphaned wallabies, gaining strength in preparation for his return to the wild. โ€œHe will spend 12 months being raised in care before being released back into the wild,โ€ Armstrong added.
