“This was a sight I had never witnessed before.”
Meet Blaze, an affectionate canine with a genuine fondness for toys. Among his collection is a pink plushie dinosaur, which he proudly parades as his most cherished possession.
“Blaze, our canine companion, takes toy devotion to a whole new level,” revealed Itsssean, Blaze’s proud owner, in a Reddit post. “Whether he’s extending a warm welcome or expressing excitement, he’s on a lightning-fast mission to secure a toy as his prized possession.”
Yet, it turns out Blaze isn’t the solitary character in our midst with an affinity for the world of toys.
One day, Itsssean was at home with Blaze when something caught their eye in the backyard. Blaze had left his favorite dinosaur toy on the patio while he went inside for breakfast. But it didn’t stay alone for long.
A local squirrel had spotted the toy and decided to join in on the fun.
“I looked out back, and that’s when I realized what was happening,” said Itsssean. “It was the first time I had ever seen something like this.”
The amusing scene went on for a while. Surprisingly, Blaze didn’t seem bothered at all that a squirrel was playing with his beloved dinosaur. After all, he wasn’t using it at that moment.
While it’s not the first instance of a wild animal borrowing a dog’s toy for some playtime, Blaze handled it with remarkable composure.
“You can really see what a sweet dog Blaze is because he’s just eating and minding his own business, even though there’s a critter playing with his toy outside,” observed Itsssean. “That pretty much sums up everything you need to know about him.”
