“Duckphone has unquestionably been the talk of the town, sparking intrigue wherever it goes.”

Allow me to introduce you to Duckphone — a delightful rescue cat brimming with charm and charisma. However, his appeal doesn’t stop there.

Duckphone also boasts irresistibly large, endearing cheeks that add to his unique charm.

At a mere two years of age, Duckphone found himself under the care of the Cleveland Animal Protective League’s shelter after wandering in as a stray. Right from the start, it was clear to the shelter staff that Duckphone was no ordinary feline.

“Upon first seeing his adorable and remarkable face, everyone’s immediate reaction was, ‘Wow, those cheeks!'” shared Hannah MacIntyre, the shelter’s social media specialist, with The Dodo. “Duckphone is undeniably capturing attention.”

Indeed, Duckphone’s charm is truly one-of-a-kind.

Duckphone’s charm extends far beyond his unique features. Despite his mysterious past as a stray, he’s a genuine sweetheart.

“He’s incredibly friendly,” MacIntyre shared. “Duckphone eagerly seeks out pets and attention from anyone he encounters.”

With a personality as endearing as his, resisting that adorable face is simply impossible.

Duckphone’s quirky name originated from a peculiar inspiration—an odd duck-shaped telephone spotted by one of the shelter’s volunteers on a television show.

“Our team frequently brainstorm names for the animals, and sometimes they end up being quite random,” MacIntyre explained. “It can be a challenge to come up with unique names.”

Despite a checkup with the vet revealing that Duckphone has feline immunodeficiency virus, it hasn’t dampened his spirits.

“He’s a joyful and otherwise thriving kitty!” MacIntyre affirmed.

Thankfully, Duckphone is now safe and secure under the shelter’s compassionate care. However, there’s still one essential element missing from his life—a loving home to call his own, where he can share his endearing giant cheeks with a forever family.
