When it comes to spending time with loved ones, a husky named Niko knows just who to turn to. His mom, Broti Gupta, is always happy to provide cuddles whenever he needs them, and his dad can never resist a game of fetch.
But Niko recently found a new love, and they’ve been inseparable ever since.
“My dog is completely obsessed with his Lamb Chop toy,” Gupta wrote on X, previously Twitter.
Niko’s affection for his new Lamb Chop plushie knows no bounds, capturing his heart from the very first moment they crossed paths. While Niko has enjoyed his fair share of toys in the past, his attachment to his stuffed Lamb Chop sets it apart from the rest.
“He hugs it constantly,” Gupta shared. “He won’t go anywhere in the house without it.”
In every moment, Niko ensures Lamb Chop is his constant companion. With fervor, he carries his cherished friend throughout the house, then settles into his bed with Lamb Chop snugly nestled under his chin.
Yet, Lamb Chop’s adventures are confined to indoor play. When Niko must venture outside, he carefully places Lamb Chop by the door, anticipating their reunion upon his return.
“He always positions it by the door as we leave, so it’s the first thing he sees when we come back,” Gupta pondered. “Does he view it as his child? His guardian?”
Niko’s parents are puzzled as to why their sweet boy developed such an intense attachment to his Lamb Chop toy, but they’re overjoyed to see him so content. Sharing Niko’s obsession on X, they were thrilled to connect with other pups from around the globe who share the same plushie.
These days, you’ll often find Niko either snuggled up with his faithful companion, Lamb Chop, or eagerly awaiting their next adventure together.
