The struggle is real.
Meet Daisy — a sweet, affectionate dog who loves being in the middle of everything, especially if it means getting attention.
But when it comes to helping around the house, Daisy has her own… very unique approach.
“Helping,” Daisy-style
Anytime her owner, Caroline, starts changing the bedsheets, Daisy springs into action.
Well — sort of.
Instead of actually helping, Daisy jumps onto the bed and immediately flops down, going completely limp.
“She turns into total dead weight,” Caroline said. “No bones, no movement.”
Rather than making the task easier, Daisy makes it much more challenging — but she seems to know exactly what she’s doing.
A clever little plan
Caroline is convinced Daisy has figured out the real benefit of sheet-changing time.
“I think she loves it because it guarantees belly rubs,” she said. “At this point, it’s less of a chore and more like her favorite game.”
A familiar situation
As it turns out, Daisy’s “technique” reminds Caroline of something else from her day job.
“I’m a nurse,” she said. “And honestly, this is basically how you make a bed with a patient in it — just with a lot more fur.”
Part of every moment
Even if she’s not the most helpful assistant, Daisy wouldn’t have it any other way — and neither would Caroline.
“She’s part of everything we do,” Caroline said. “All the little everyday moments.”
And if Daisy has one thing figured out, it’s how to enjoy life.
“She’s just so happy to be alive,” Caroline added. “If we could all have a little bit of that energy — and maybe her dedication to relaxing — the world would be a better place.”
