Someone very special was landing.

This is Frederico Alfredo, a lovable dog who volunteers as a therapy animal at hospitals near his home in Brazil. Alongside his owner, Jamili Saade, Frederico brings joy and comfort to patients in need of a smile.

Recently, however, Frederico had a special experience of his own. After Saade adopted him from another state, she was contacted by a family who had adopted one of his littermates — Frederico’s brother, Tunico Bastos.

Though they lived in different cities, the two families stayed in touch. In 2023, Saade, her husband, and Frederico traveled to visit Tunico and his family.

“We became good friends,” Saade said. “This year, we invited them to visit us in our city.”

When Tunico and his family arrived at the airport, Frederico greeted them with excitement, holding a “PAW Patrol” balloon and a placard with his brother’s name.

The visit lasted a week, during which both families explored the city together. Throughout their time together, Frederico and Tunico proved they were true siblings.

“They got on each other’s nerves,” Saade said with a laugh. “But it was funny.”

The reunion was a heartwarming reminder of the bond between brothers, no matter how far apart they live.
