A one-year-old cow is on the mend after being rescued from an underground culvert by firefighters.
Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service responded to reports of a trapped animal in Malmesbury around 11:30 BST on Wednesday.
Fire crews from Malmesbury and Stratton, working alongside veterinary professionals from The George Veterinary Hospital, carried out the rescue operation.
The cow had become lodged in the culvert for roughly an hour before being freed with the help of specialized inflation equipment.
Malmesbury Fire Station later described the call-out on Facebook as βa turnout with a difference,β praising the collaboration involved.
βThanks to a brilliant team effort, the cow was safely returned to the field to enjoy the rest of the day,β the post read.
